HAEALL (www.haeall.co.kr) has developed the Smart Cane, which is equipped with an LED lamp and various user-friendly features. In addition to assisting a user with walking, the Smart Cane helps him identify hazards at night by the use of the LED lamp. Located within the 8-cm circular die casting below the grip, the V-shaped green LED lamp also allows the user to be easily noticed by others including drivers of motor vehicles at night, reducing the risk of traffic accidents, thus allowing the elderly to move around more freely even at night.

The high-intensity LED lamp can shine a straight beam up to 110cm at an angle of 15º downwards, increasing the visibility of the user, and thus reducing the chances of accidents at night.

The cane uses a lithium-ion battery, and charging of 90 minutes (with a charger) allows the smart cane to be used for about 10 hours. The trimerous cane can be easily detached and assembled by the elderly and the height is adjustable by seven stages up to 17cm. The rubber tip with a sufficient contact area provides an effective anti-slip solution on a variety of surfaces.
