Red Snow Crab Meat[INQ. NO. 1404C17] Samjung Susan has been mainly engaged in producing dried Pollack products such as Kodari (semi-dried Pollack) and Hwangtae (fully dried pollack). The company has made efforts to diversify its items, based on its long accumulated know-how. In 2005, Samjung expanded its business into producing red snow crab meat by establishing its second factory Yangyanggun, Gangwon-do. Currently, it produces dried Pollack products in its first factory and manufactures red snow crab meat products in its second factory.

Samjung’s high-quality red snow crab meat produced through a strict sanitary control system is exported to the USA and Japan. The red snow crabs have deep red body, orange back white abdomen. They live in 400~2300m of deep water off the eastern coast of the Korean peninsula. The red crab meat is a typical high-protein and low-calorie food that contains a lot of essential amino acids and nucleic acid.

The red snow crab is higher in chitosan than any other crustaceans are. As a low-cholesterol and low-fat food, they are particularly good for children’s growth and the elderly. The 100% natural crab meat is made by quick-freezing meat removed from crabs and processing it using hygienic methods.
