To sit on a generic manual wheelchair, one must put on the brake on the left side of the wheelchair. Otherwise the wheel will roll back and cause one to fall off the wheelchair. It is safe since turning the safety bar allows the user to easily recognize the brake lock or to release the brake.
The GOODLOCK GL-030 remains locked when the seatbelt is not worn. It can be used together with the drum brake that can be used by the caregiver of the wheelchair user.
