[INQ. NO. 2101C17] COPPERLINE is a washable and reusable anti-bacterial mask. It is the first in the world to be tested for the suppression of the COVID-19 virus, where it has been proven to have antibacterial effects against the COVID-19 virus. It has also been approved in an experiment conducted by JeonBuk National University, Asia’s largest research institute for acquired common infectious diseases.
It has also undergone experiments to evaluate its virus infection inhibitory effects against COVID-19 using a three-dimensional copper mask, including cell lesion effect (CPE) and indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA), and SARS-CoV-2 RNA.
As a result of testing the antiviral effectiveness of fabric materials with different copper content, a fabric with 22% copper content in a triple three-dimensional structure showed inhibitory effects of nearly 100% cell lesions. While fabric with 49% and 60% copper content, respectively, turned out to deliver close to 80% cell lesion inhibition effect.
The triple-structured three-dimensional fabric with a copper content of 22% showed a higher ability to kill viruses, and it was analyzed that the increased surface area of the fabric was the main cause. It was also found that the sterilization effect may have been improved through the interaction of the virus and copper ions by the virus being trapped in a copper-containing mask or making contact with the outer surface of the mask.
COPPERLINE is currently available in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries, etc., while its copper fabrics are supplied to the Hong Kong government, providing 9.5 million masks to 7.5 million citizens. It has also been supplied to the Singapore Ministry of Defence, Singapore (MINDEF) as military masks.
