Maesil has long been widely used by Korean households. For example, cold maesil tea has been enjoyed to combat fatigue or stimulates the appetite particularly in summer. The fruit is also known to help detoxify the body, enhance intestinal function, and relieve symptoms of food poisoning and diarrhea. Cheong Maesil Won is a plum undiluted solution made by fermenting and aging organically cultivated green plums and oligosaccharide at the ratio of 7 to 3 in the traditional Korean pottery containers that are more than 50 years old.
