Secret of the Bamboo Salt Effectiveness Revealed for Healthcare

Bamboo Salt

The Oksoojung bamboo salt uses 1st class bamboo salt, which is made by using bamboo trees over 3 years in growth. The manufacturing processes of the Oksoojung bamboo salt are, first, cut three-year old king-size bamboo just below each node to make each bamboo segment into top side open and bottom side closed. Then, through the open end of bamboo segments, pour and tightly pack the segment with sun-dried sea salt. In step 3, seal the open end of each bamboo segment with yellow soil paste, and stack the salt-filled segments in a cast iron pot, and start to fire the iron pot with pinewood until all bamboo segments get completely incinerated. After the internal contents of the pot get cooled, ashes and dried yellow soil disks are discarded and dirt-free solid salt columns are collected. The salt columns are crushed into fine powder and is used to pour and tightly pack the bamboo segments for the next process. These steps are repeated 7 more times.

The salt columns collected at the end of the previous process are stacked in the innovatively designed last process cast iron pot and pine resin powder is sprayed directly into the pot that is equipped with an auxiliary furnace igniter and a continuous aeration system. The internal pot temperature can reach over 1500° C. Salt melts quickly to become molten salt lava that is drained into a cooling chamber. The upper portion of the solid processed bamboo salt column is separated from the lower portion to avoid contamination of undesirable insoluble materials and ashes. The whitish-gray upper portion is crushed into either pieces or powder for consumption.
