YOPOKKI is a rice cake product produced by Young Poong Co., Ltd. It consists of five types of flavors including sweet and spicy, cheese, hot and spicy, Jjajang, and golden onion butter, and it is composed of stick rice cake and sauce. It can be stored at room temperature for one year. This ready-to-cook product requires only two minutes cooking in a microwave or a frying pan. Popular in Southeast Asia and Japan, YOPOKKI has been exported to over 30 countries. YOPOKKI is available both in a cup and pouch type.
Since its establishment in 1993, Young Poong Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing Korean traditional food such as topokki, Korean pancake, and rice cake soup. In the mid- 2000s, the company developed a recipe to for rice cake that could be stored at room temperature for a year, without the use of pigments and preservatives, with the aim to develop long-term food-grade manufacturing technology.
