BEK SE JUKOOK SOON DANG Brewery (KSDB) was established in 1952. As a major producer of Korean wine, it has focused on research and development in order to revitalize the Korean traditional brewing formula.

In 1992, as a result of continuous effort in R&D, KSDB introduced its flagship product, BEK SE JU. The excellent taste and health benefits of BEK SE JU soon captured the hearts and palates of Korean people. Notably, BEK SE JU sold over one billion bottles in 1998.

Since then, it has captured around 70% of market share in the Korean rice wine market. To satisfy the expanding demand for BEK SE JU, the company has opened a new factory in Hoengseong, Gangwon province in 2004. The Hoengseong factory has a daily production capacity of 600,000 bottles, and it is famous for its environmentally-friendly facilities.



The herbal wine Bek Se Ju is made from glutinous rice, nuruk (yeast & enzyme) and 12 choicest oriental herbs, including ginseng, ginger, cinnamon, etc. It is brewed and fermented in a patented and exclusive way based on the traditional Korean wine brewing formula.

The herbal wine’s natural flavor obtained from its oriental herbs is a true delight to the palate. It can be enjoyed for dinner and social parties. Recently, scientific evidence has demonstrated that Bek Se Ju has anti-cancer benefits as well as a protective effect for the stomach.

BokbunjaThis fermentation ethod, which entails the obstruction of external oxygen nd controls the activation of yeast, ensures its great taste. lso, KoonSoonDang is the first company to materialize the cold chain method, making it possible to preserve and deliver the fresh quality from its makers to its consumers.

The raw rice fermentation method helps to reduce the chances of destroying essential amino acids. Myungjak Bokbunja (black raspberry) is a highly aromatic luscious wine that is made with carefully chosen raspberries 100% from Gochang, Korea. It has a dark purplish color with a unique floral aroma and deep honey flavor.
