[INQ. NO. 1305C36] Founded in 1979, Samjin started out in the confectionery business as Samjin Confectionery, an HACCPcertified manufacturer of mochi cake, which got a makeover from Korea’s traditional sticky rice cake called ‘Charltteok’ and quickly became one of the favorite snacks among Korean consumers as soon as it was introduced.
As the company acquired a patent for mochi cake and wrote another success story with its hit chocolate bar ‘X-5,’ Samjin Confectionery set up an independent sales subsidiary company called Samjin CNF in order to beef up its sales and marketing capability at home and abroad.
Samjin has been expanding its business beyond South Korea and has steadily gained a firm foothold in overseas markets.
In order to quickly respond to growing demands for its products from overseas customers, the Korean company established a professional trading company, Samjin Corporation, which specializes in overseas business in 2011. Samjin Corporation has been conducting significant international businesses with its valued partners all over the world.
