[INQ. NO. 1406C05] The artist is engaged in creating hand-made embroidery work, and runs a handmade embroidery shop, located in Gahoe-dong in Seoul, which attracts many foreign guests and local patrons.

The patchwork and embroidery work form the main panel made only by the artist’s fingers, thread, needle and pieces of cloth. In the modern and digitalized world where factories churn out a flood of new products, people fiercely compete to survive on a daily basis. Given today’s disturbances, tension, cynicism and greed, we find that many of us are really more interested in old values such as the aesthetics of slow, calm, sense of catharsis, and ridding oneself of greed.

The artist is well aware of these realities, and works hard to share the wishes of people through the hand-made embroidery works with motives of uniqueness, joy and simplicity of daily life.

Through her embroidery works, she hopes that people will be able to feel how comfortable and beautiful it is when you express your mind in such a way that your hands want to move themselves.
