Blowing Agents for Polyurethane Foams
ES CAT #5500 is a highly active esterification catalyst at temperatures in the range of 200-230℃. It is white solid which dissolves by reaction upon heating with carboxylic acids. The resulting active catalyst is soluble in systems such as phthalate or isophthalate esters and remains in the product.
The use of ES CAT #5500 minimizes the dehydration and oxidative degradation of alcohols. Also, ESCAT #5500 is a highly selective catalyst which results in higher purity products due to little or no side reactions. Corrosion, odor and color problems encountered with the use of acid catalysts are thereby eliminated and reduced. Excess alcohol can be recovered and reused without expensive purification steps. Neutralization and washing steps are unnecessary.
Organic Metal Compound
The organic metal compound of ES CAT #100L has 99% purity, and the metal content of 15.2%. The appearance is yellowish and clear color, and the specific gravity is 1.055. The product is a catalyst for polyurethane resin, and non-toxic accelerator for synthetic leather, fiber and shoes. Also, ES CAT #100L is applied as a hardening accelerator for silicone and sealant. Product is provided in 18kg and 200kg.
