Concertina wire is a type of razor wire which is formed in large coils that can be expanded like a concertina. In the past, it was widely used in wartime as barriers for protection and defense. Later concertina razor wire could be found in agriculture, industry, road protection and other fields. Concertina razor wire materials have galvanized sheet, stainless steel sheet, low carbon sheet and hot dipped galvanized wire, stainless steel wire and others.
Concertina wire includes flat and coil types. The common concertina wire coil has single and double coils. Double concertina wire using two pieces of stainless steel razor wire or zinc-coated razor wire are bound together by clips to make it stronger. It is used as security fencing and isolation for gardens, residences, military sites and other sites requiring high security.
