The 2021 ACE Fair (Asia Contents & Entertainment Fair, in Gwangju), celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, is a representative comprehensive content-licensing exhibition, which will provide opportunities for networking and market development between domestic and foreign exhibitors and influential buyers. To enhance the performance of participating companies, an online conference for inviting overseas buyers will be held to promote the Fair as a contents market and attract global investment.
Last year, through a hybrid-type online business conference, it has recorded a total of 1624 investment and transaction consultations worth USD 41.03 million (about KRW 47 billion), and signed MOU agreements worth KRW 60.3 billion.
In consideration of the prolonged pandemic situation, on-off hybrid business matching is scheduled to take place as it did last year. In addition, following the government’s guidelines for social distancing, it applies preventive measures against COVID-19, such as controlling access to the exhibition hall, quarantine of the exhibition hall, operation of quarantine officers, and expansion of non-face-to-face services in pursuit of the utmost safety for exhibitors and visitors.
This event will be held with 200 companies and 400 booths in 35 countries, and will include exhibitions covering all genres of cultural content such as characters, animations, broadcasting, games, realistic contents, and AI, online licensing consultations, CDC (Content Developer Conference), and other special and side events.
In particular, the future and direction of the content industry will be presented by reinforcing the exhibition items such as immersive content and Metaverse platforms reflecting the trends in the content industry, and providing the ACE Fair Theme Pavilion. Held along with ACE Fair, the 2021 Gwangju International ACE Illustration Fair will be larger in scale than the previous year.
The 2021 ACE Fair is expected to offer an event worthy of the nation’s largest comprehensive content exhibition with upgraded business exchanges between participating companies and buyers through the expansion of new businesses and domestic buyers
