The plant-based and cruelty-free market in Korea continues to expand, and the upcoming 10th Veganfesta and Greenfesta reflects this growing momentum. The 10th Veganfesta & Greenfesta will take place from March 27 to 29, 2026 at SETEC in Seoul, bringing together a wide spectrum of plant-based food, eco-friendly consumer goods, fashion, beauty and green technology under the theme “Plant-based, Cruelty-Free.”
Over the past six years, the exhibition has attracted more than 140,000 visitors and buyers, establishing itself as a key platform for Korea’s vegetarian and environmentally conscious industries.

Event Overview and Industry Platform
This year’s edition is expected to host 180 exhibitors across 300 booths and welcome around 25,000 visitors. Organized by the Korea Foods High Tech Association and Vegenomics Fair Vegan Festa Co., Ltd, the event aims to support brand visibility, expand business opportunities and enhance exhibitor satisfaction through practical programs and networking initiatives. Beyond product display, the exhibition is designed as a trade-oriented marketplace where manufacturers, distributors and service providers can connect directly with domestic and overseas buyers.

The exhibition is structured across six primary categories, ranging from plant-based food and beverages to eco-friendly technology and services. In the food and beverage segment, plant-based alternative meat, convenience foods, bakery items and health functional foods will be presented alongside sauces and beverages. The food tech and green bio area highlights plant-based ingredients, seed digital breeding, food automation technologies and smart farming solutions, reflecting the convergence of sustainability and advanced manufacturing.

Innovation in Plant-Based Food and Food Tech
A number of new exhibitors will make their debut at the 10th edition. In the alternative meat sector, Orange Cow will introduce products developed using its proprietary artificial muscle fiber manufacturing technology, applied to 100 percent plant-based meat alternatives. The company focuses on hybrid cultivated meat technologies that combine cell-cultured tissue with plant protein without traditional livestock slaughter, signaling the industry’s ongoing technological evolution.
In the alternative food and beverage category, Daywells will showcase a range of ready-to-eat products designed to meet diverse dietary and cultural demands, including halal and vegan certified meals. The company has completed product registration with the US Food and Drug Administration and obtained both halal and vegan certifications, underscoring export-oriented ambitions.
Sustainability also extends beyond food. In the eco-friendly lifestyle segment, project1907, operated by Sesange Eomneun Sesang Co., Ltd, will present upcycled fashion items made from recycled domestic PET bottles. Its sister brand, Natural Store, will introduce eco-friendly daily living products intended to lower environmental impact and promote accessible green consumption. Other categories include cruelty-free fashion and cosmetics, biodegradable materials, green packaging solutions, zero-waste consumer goods and ESG-related services.

Strengthening B2B Engagement and Buyer Networks

Business programs are a central feature of the exhibition. Organizers will run agricultural and fisheries venture investment consultations, one-to-one business matching sessions and export and certification briefings to support market expansion for participating companies. According to post-show statistics from previous editions, exhibitor satisfaction remains high, with 82 percent reporting overall satisfaction and 79 percent expressing willingness to participate again.
Buyer profiles indicate strong representation from food manufacturing, distribution and wholesale sectors, with plant-based meat, bakery and beverages among the top areas of interest. Market research and affiliate searching are cited as the primary purposes of buyer visits, highlighting the trade-oriented nature of the event.

Global Outlook and Export Readiness
The exhibition has also adjusted its visitor policy to encourage broader participation. To expand engagement beyond dedicated vegetarians, the organizers have shifted from a paid admission model to free entry through advance online registration, aiming to lower barriers and introduce a wider audience to vegan food and eco-friendly products. This approach aligns with the broader goal of normalizing plant-based consumption and sustainable lifestyles within mainstream markets.
Within this context, Korean vegan product manufacturers are increasingly aligning product development with international standards such as FDA registration and halal certification, positioning themselves for overseas expansion.
The emphasis on export consultation programs and certification briefings at the exhibition indicates a clear strategic focus on global market entry. As interest in plant-based and cruelty-free products continues to grow, Korean producers are leveraging technological innovation, diversified product portfolios and compliance with international certification frameworks to strengthen competitiveness.
The 10th Veganfesta & Greenfesta thus serves not only as a showcase of finished goods but also as a reflection of a maturing industry ecosystem. From food tech solutions to upcycled fashion and ESG services, the exhibition highlights how sustainability has become embedded across value chains. By combining consumer engagement with targeted B2B programs, the event reinforces Seoul’s role as a dynamic hub for plant-based innovation and environmentally responsible business in the Asia Pacific region.
