Vehicle Accessibility System
[INQ. NO. 2609C25] Multi is a mobility conversion system designed to let wheelchair users and people without disabilities share one vehicle comfortably. It adapts the passenger environment to different purposes, bringing accessible transport and everyday vehicle use together.
Conventional wheelchair vehicles can restrict seating for other passengers or limit interior space as accessibility equipment is incorporated. Ordinary vehicles, meanwhile, have difficulty accommodating wheelchair users. Multi combines these two usage environments within a single vehicle.
An ultralight electric ramp fits completely inside the vehicle floor when stowed. This arrangement keeps the unused ramp clear of the cabin, preserving interior space while making wheelchair access available when it is needed.
The conversion avoids cutting the vehicle’s main structural components, helping retain its existing versatility. A remote control operates the electric ramp, allowing its boarding function to be used specifically when a wheelchair passenger needs access.
Flexible seating and space configurations allow the vehicle to adapt to its users and circumstances. It can provide wheelchair accessibility or serve as an everyday passenger vehicle, without remaining fixed in a configuration for one particular user.
For families with a wheelchair user, a vehicle equipped with Multi can serve as a family car for everyone. It can also function as a work vehicle for commuting or moving goods during ordinary use.
Other applications include taxis and mobility services accommodating both wheelchair passengers and other travelers. Welfare and nursing facilities can use the system in pickup vehicles, extending its applications across different passenger needs and transport settings.
