Easier Eating, Balanced Nutrition for Every Generation

NO. 2609C51] The Food Industry Promotion Agency of Korea has been designated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries as a Senior-Friendly Industry Support Center. Responding to the needs of a super-aged society, the agency operates Korea’s Certified Senior-Friendly Food designation system and supports the growth of companies participating in the senior-friendly food sector.
Certified Senior-Friendly Food includes foods whose physical properties, forms, and ingredients have been adjusted with consideration for seniors’ ease of consumption, nutritional supplementation, digestion, and absorption. Based on physical properties, designated foods are classified into three hardness levels: Level 1, Chewable with Teeth; Level 2, Crushable with Gums; and Level 3, Crushable with Tongue. This classification provides options suited to different levels of eating ability.
The category has recently expanded beyond porridge and soft side dishes to encompass convenient meals and lunch boxes, while some designated products are also entering overseas markets. Neulpyeon Food is the shared brand for products designated as Certified Senior-Friendly Food. It offers new food choices not only for seniors but also for consumers who place importance on ease of eating and balanced nutrition. The five products featured here represent designated companies with overseas export experience.
