Wasong Vinegar /
[INQ. NO. 2610C17] Wasong Natural Fermented Vinegar is made from native wasong through extended natural fermentation and aging. The range uses aging periods from two to five years or longer, producing a distinctive taste and aroma with a clean finish.
The signature vinegar follows a five-year journey from cultivation to completion. Wasong is grown for two years in Hwacheon using a proprietary microbial farming method, then harvested for a further period of natural fermentation in traditional earthenware jars.
The harvested red wasong begins fermenting with the sap released by the harvested plant itself. No purified water or spirits are added at this stage, keeping the production process centered on the raw material and its own liquid.
Natural microorganisms continue the process inside the jars for at least three years. During this extended aging, the plant’s inherent toxicity is eliminated and active components are converted into a lower-molecular-weight form for absorption.
Red wasong develops its deeper color during the pronounced temperature changes of autumn. The plant contains anthocyanins and polyphenols, and the focus on these natural antioxidant components informs the selection and handling of the raw ingredient.

Dilution is recommended as the way to consume the vinegar. Its distinctive flavor, aroma and clean aftertaste provide the sensory qualities of the finished drink, while long fermentation and aging remain central to how the product is made.
The vinegar is intended to support digestion, concentration and recovery from chronic fatigue, alongside dietary weight management. Native wasong remains the company’s sole raw-material focus, connecting the drink with its ongoing development of products based exclusively on this native Korean plant.

Agricultural Corporation HaedongHwacheonWasong Co., Ltd. originated as a wasong cultivation group in 2015 and was incorporated in 2023. Its history links cultivation with the development of naturally fermented vinegar and a broader wasong product range supplied through online sales, exhibition sales and overseas buyer discussions.
The business has received a Korean agriculture ministry award and an ITQI Gold Star award in Brussels in June 2019. Its quality credentials include halal, vegan, pesticide-free agricultural certification and FSSC 22000, alongside trademarks and patents.
