The Dementia Prevention Training Robot System SILBOT enables robots to interact with students of dementia prevention classes and serve as an assistant teacher for senior citizens who are 65 years and older, and for mild cognitively impaired patients.

The brain-training contents installed in this system were developed in collaboration with a nationally authorized neurologist. It has been proven that this sysstem contributes to improvement of brain function such as increase of brain cortical thickness and memory through clinical tests by a university hospital. It is operated by the center for Alzheimer’s disease and the public health center.

This system also allows group education classes for up to 12 people at the same time, and alleviation of depression and anxiety through interaction among the participants, and can further enhance the effectiveness of cognitive enhancement training through emotional interaction and voice and motion recognition of a robot.
