Saccharin
[INQ. NO. 2211C37] Saccharin is an artificial sweetener with a sugar content 500 times higher than sugar and zero calories and Glycemic Index (GI), which has been attracting attention as a sugar substitute to fight diabetes and obesity.
Currently, it is widely used to produce candies, cookies, and soft drinks, as well as syrups and tablet coatings in toothpaste, gargles and pharmaceuticals, and table-top sweeteners.
Saccharin produced by JMC Corporation is produced using the Ortho-Toluenesulfonamide (OTSA) produced by Remsen-Fahlberg, the oldest and the most optimal technology for producing the purest and highest-quality saccharin.

Saccharin uses chemicals (organic solvents) to purify impurities that are insoluble in water, unlike other products in which organic solvents are found. This product does not require the use of organic solvents due to the nature of the R&F method, so it is dissolved in potable drinking water. Therefore, it contains no residual organic solvents.
It also complies with all pharmacopeia and food standards including USP/NF, FCC, JECFA, EP, E954, JP, and KP.
Established in 1953, JMC Corporation is the only saccharin manufacturer in Korea, providing saccharin to various food and beverage manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies in over 70 countries around the world.
