Romi Haan, who was so frustrated and physically exhausted when she wiped her house floor on a daily basis that she decided to launch Haan Corporation in 1999, with the mission of alleviating the pain and drudgery of this household chore.
Based on her hands-on experience and knowledge, her company came up with the Haan Steam Cleaner that began to fly off the shops’ shelves as soon as word of its effectiveness began to spread among Korean consumers.
Currently, the Haan steam cleaner leads the steam cleaner market in Korea, seeing its revenues constantly increase from a record-high $100 million in 2006.
Haan Corporation has expanded its product line to garment steamers and steam vacuum cleaners to become a leader in steam technology. Haan Corporation has obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for quality control and international certifications such as ETL (U.S.A), S Mark (Japan), CE and KUCAS (Kuwait), along with numerous awards from local invention patent contests for the innovative technology.
Haan Corporation’s newest steam cleaner “Slim & Light (SI-35)” allows people to easily clean the floors of houses or offices. By eliminating the need to lean over while mopping and wiping the floor, it also alleviates the back- pain from household chores.
Its patented technology uses high temperature steam at over 100°C to loosen dirt and kill germs. The water tank is coated with silver Nano particles that are known to inhibit the breeding of bacteria.
The latest steam cleaner model (SI-35) weighs just 1.9kg, and has a water tank attached to the body so its head has only 1.9cm height, and thus can be easily used to clean under furniture and hard-to-reach spaces.
